"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"

An electrocardiogram records the electrical signals in your heart. It's a common test used to detect heart problems and monitor the heart's status.  Electrocardiograms — also called ECGs has become the standard diagnostic equipment used for capturing the performance of the heart.

Per the Center for Disease Control (CDC), about 610,000 people die each year from heart disease in the United States.  That’s 1 in every 4 deaths.  Approximately every 40 seconds an American will have a heart attack. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people do not get tested until they are actually experiencing symptoms of a heart attack.  At Heath Scan, we value preventative care.

An ECG is a noninvasive, painless test with quick results. During an ECG, sensors (electrodes) that can detect the electrical activity of your heart are attached to your chest. Unlike ECG tests performed in a lab or doctor’s office, the equipment used by HealthScan is fast and convenient.  There is no need to for the technician to apply electrode gels or even, in most instances, shave the patient’s chest.  Plus, all scans can be performed in the comfort of the patient’s home or office.
